I see a database connection error. Try doing this: Go to cPanel --> MySQL databases. Drop the user from the database (but do not delete the user or database). Reassign the user to the database and remember to give it full permissions.

I'm not sure about all the servers, but I send mail through Gmail's SMTP (SSL) server on Chopin and it works perfectly. Make sure you are configuring it correctly: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=13287 using ssl://smtp.gmail.com as the host.
