Thanks for your help caftpx10, I Reset my Zone File in cpanel and added cloudflare resolve entries back in and hey presto working again. unpaused cloudflare and put my .htaccess back all ok. still not sure why it stopped working though.

Disabled cloudfare from cloudfare as the page doesn't show in the cpanel but same response. Removed .htaccess same response. cleared my DNS cache ipconfig /flushdns tried different machines on different wifi and mobile networks same response. tried accessing using IE, Chome, firefox, and on PC...

My website on the free hosting. http://www.acew.x10host.com/index.html is failing with server dns not found but ftp and cpanel ok and I haven't knowingly made any changes. So has there been any x10hosting changes that may have affected this.

many thanks I was trying to establish whether my DNS was set up correctly as I cant get my 301 redirects working for www and cloudfare was getting in the way

@caftpx10 changing to acew.x10host.com.cdn.cloudflare.net now allows www to work, will try to look at this again tomorrow. Thanks very much for your help and patience.

Yes I am, but I can no longer access this through Control panel 3 as no website shows up.

Even with no .htaccess www hasn't worked on my account acew.x10host.com with any browser from the outtset. I had to put in a redirect, where the redirect worked until the changes to .htacess rules on the 30th September, so now Im even more confused if it works that way for everyone else.

I have never found it working by default that way so is it just for me that it doesn't work.

When I first opened my free hosting account with x10hosting I was a complete novice (still am really) so was clueless about what I was doing. I think that I was asked whether I wanted a www prefix. Can a free hosting account be changed to include the www. prefix?

Update, Deleted the 301 redirect for www in my .htaccess Also noted Cloudfare does not show my website in my control panel. Logged directly onto Cloudfare.com to change to development mode. Cleared my browser cache and used Ctrl F5 to force page refresh and now my website performs correctly but...

Following recent x10hosting changes to htaccess rules has restricted access to my web pages. I have tried hashing out all my rules but still not sure what host changes were and now don't know how to fix, see .htaccess attached as text file. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks, that's cool now I know. Analytics showed my site has started attracting interest from Russia over the last few days and I was going to check if this interest was hostile and producing errors. At least I know now that there aren't any logs to check.
