I'm sorry but I need more clarification. Would people having to register in order to host an image be "open to the public"?

It'd be nice if the directory were updated automatically instead of manually. On registration the system could ask the person registering if they want their website showcased on the directory.

It isn't hard to login to the forums anyway ;) If you're a busy person, you could always create some sort of script or just use iMacros for Firefox to automatically log in with just one click. Find iMacros here.
