    Review request for www.sitefeedbacks.com

After registering, the e-mail confirmation process was seamless - great. Process to review was extremely simple and like the AJAX review star system you've implemented here. Submitting your own site was also pretty simple, although it would have been nice NOT to have to take your own...

    Review request for www.sitefeedbacks.com

Get do follow link? Is this a recommended "follow-me" link? We on Google+? have to make review? Can I suggest that you get someone to check the english here to make your visitors more at ease. I quite like the idea but I find myself hovering over the registration page. An e-mail and login...

WEBSITE FOR NEW OPERATING SYSTEM ! What do you think?

Scary as hell! OK - here goes with the review... First impression... slick site with simple, open and modern design. Nice use of the initial browser fold. I understood the purpose of the site within a few seconds - something many sites lose sight of. Nice favicon. Consistent good use of...

Limit execution time of a function/script

I have a thumbnail generator that accesses remote files, copies them and then re-sizes before saving the thumbnail locally. As this is an image search engine, there's a lot to get through!! My problem is that, although the script is quite tidy and has been optimised as much as I can, I'm still...

    Login and Timeout Issues?

It depends on the length of the post. If you're only making a few lines, it's not a problem, but I've been doing website reviews which take a little longer. It's tricky to know exactly what the timeout is, but it is a little annoying. As for the 1,000's posts, when looking at the Forum ->...

Increased Number of 0 reply posts....

Thanks for the replies! Skizzerz - please don't think I'm complaining - I know how much commitment this forum must take for contributors. I also understand that no reposne times are guaranteed... or expected! I was just making an observation which will be having an impact on user experience...

Increased Number of 0 reply posts....

I've been on here for a few years now and I come and go as the need arises. I've noticed recently that there are more and more posts with 0 replies. Many and decent, honest questions or comments from users who are unlikely to return any time soon. Do you have a core staff who examine this...

    Login and Timeout Issues?

I have been a member here for a while and I'm finding a few things a bit "buggy". First - have you shortened the session timeout? Twice now I've made a fairly long post and lost it because my login session has expired. The second time, I gave up. Second, the login box top right doesn't seem...

    Please review my news site!

OK - here goes... Immediate reaction... a bit busy. The header is very slim and it took me a while to find the "Your PC, your game".. whicj still didn't really tell me much about the site. OH.... 10 seconds in and I find a statement hidden on the right that says "where you'll find the latest...

New progressive design with CSS3 (3 media queries)

(Re-posted from graphics & webdesign - sorry) I've redeveloped my image search website layout with a clever progressive design (not the one in my banner). test page is at http://www.qualityimagesearch.com/test.php and I'd appreciate any feedback or views. There are three media queries here...

    ext/mysql deprecated in PHP 5.5.0

Thanks. I did read the sticky as well, but I thought a repeat would be useful for those reading this post. I guess mysqli will be the intermediate solution... Richard

    ext/mysql deprecated in PHP 5.5.0

Thanks for the heads up... Do you have some useful links for tuts on mysqli or PDO methods? I wonder how many CMS based sites will suddenly crash when their hosts upgrade... on the sorrows of CMS :)

    Review My Repsonsive WebSite

Hmmm... some elements still seem too wide at intermediate level. When browser size sits between 800 (approx) and 1024 (approx), the content doesn't change at all, so the 1024 wide content just disappears on the right. Unfortunately, when viewing the page source and css files, it's all in one...

Animated glowing border using CSS/ JS?

You could always use good ol' fashioned css using animated gifs for background borders! That way, you can create any effect you want and it will process nicely in almost any browser. css will be a bit nasty though. If it's a fixed size box, you can just use the background...

    Website php help

I'm not sure what you're referring to by the "right hand side box", but you could try the following instead of the code you got from google. <iframe style="width:100%;" height="650" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0"...

How do I create a .php file?

The meta refresh method is not recommended for SEO. The best methods use server-processed headers. The following also informs the user-agent that the page has moved permanently. <? Header( "HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently" ); Header( "Location: http://www.new-url.com" ); ?>...

I've redeveloped my image search website layout with a clever progressive design (not the one in my banner). test page is at http://www.qualityimagesearch.com/test.php and I'd appreciate any feedback or views. Setting Boarders in Photoshop for exact measurements

Bizarre - you shouldn't have to calibrate the unit preferences to screen - wtf? If you put in 21x29.7 and print without any scaling factor, it should print at that size... irrespective of resolution. Does your printer have default gutters or margins? Try checking the device properties...
