Resolved 2020 blog content & WP dashboard not loading

Two days ago all was working fine. When I tried to create a new post today I could not access wordpress. When I went to check my website: allspiffy.com I got the 524 error.

I first looked here in the forum for a solution. I found the 524 thread where Anna advised to change cloudflare's A record to the new sever. I went into my cpanel and I believe my new server is the one ending in .12. I changed my cloudflare A record and happy day my blog loads.

Unhappily, the blog's most recent content dates December 2019. None of the 2020 formatting and posts are showing. And, when I try to access WordPress this is what I get:

The page isn’t redirecting properly

An error occurred during a connection to allspiffy.com.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yeah, since you didn't make the A record change during the migration process, you have been communicating and updating the database on the OLD server up until now, which would account for the data loss.

Problems loading wordpress could be to a number of things, but lets address those in a little bit after the next part has been discussed and solved.

We can remedy the data loss, there are full backups of all accounts stored safely that were made just prior to the old servers being disconnected, which should hold all your edits up until that point.

I can restore this onto your account. From our point of view, the easiest solution is to simply remove the current DA and re-apply from the backup, did you make any changes using the DA user interface after the migrations was done (which would have been mid January to early February depending on which server you were on).

I believe this was the old server : 198.91.81.3 . That was the IP I changed in Cloudflare.

Does "DA" = data? I apologize for being a website noob, when you ask about the DA user interface I'm not sure exactly what you mean. I make all edits to the website through my WordPress Dashboard. I made a shortcut and access WP normally from the admin link located in the Softaculous WordPress installation panel if that helps. I'm fine with you restoring from the backup. I'm most interested in getting up and running properly. I can live with losing some of my most recent posts.

DA interface = DirectAdmin interface.

I'll sort the restore and post back when I have done so, should be about 20 minutes if all goes well
