what 3D modelling program do you use i use 3D studio max.

I don't use any 3D modelling program, but I hear that 3D studio max is good.

i have tried anim8or, its very easy to use, and its free. there is also blender, which is also free, but very complicated.

yeah anim8or is a good program but i think that it is a bit to simple it needs to have some more features (well thats when i used it) but 3d studio is what i am using now its vey complicated so im trying to find someone that can help me.

I've used blender ( which I dont agree with madmatt ) its not a hard program to use if you know where to get the right tutorials : ). I have also used 3ds Max, its an ok program. The favorite in my list though is O2, aka Objektiv 2 lite. Made by bohemia interactive for Operation Flashpoint. Its a basic tool for basic modelling, all of your files are put out in .p3d format ( planes 3 dimensional ) so you can move it into 3ds max if you want and touch it up for a different game if you wish to do so. On top of that its user friendly. But im spouting off on something that can only be used by OFP modders :p.

I used to have some nice .pdf tutorials for 3ds max but can't seem to find them right now, if anyone wants Easy to understand and use blender tutorials give me a pm!

I think blender is nice but a bit completed... i got last year but i have used it once...

Who are using 3D software, please place here some sample 2D images of their art works. It will inspire us who don't us these kind of programes.

I use milkshape 3d. I know it has serious drawbacks. But hey..its free.

3ds studio max 7 I asked earlier an bought it. Its complicated to use but i am doing pretty well.

These are made with O2 that I spoke of above.

The first is one of the prelim pictures of the EA-6B i was working on. I got so detailed with it though that OFP's engine couldn't handle it. Never did get it in game without a crash.

The second is of the SR-16. We had hoped to bring a bunch of airsoft weapons to OFP but people didn't like the idea. Scorch made the base model and I trimmed it up and added alot of nifty things.]

I also made a "Sniper bunker" but can't seem to find the image right now. It was a great project and melded with the terrain perfectly.

alias maya 6.5 unlimted is the best they made smeagol out of LOTR with it and yoda out of the new star wars movie

I think 3D studio max is better

OFP cant handle hi-res structures, the engine is too weak.

The EA-6B Prowler you see there couldn't even be used, I made it too high of a poly count than was compatible at the time. Some other bloke made one and completely textured it. His didn't have as near much detail ( stabilizers on the wings, hydraulics lines ) then mine does. Though I never got to finish that baby and my computer crashed before I could finish (lost the addon).

I mostly use 3d max well for evryone who wana deign games try kaneva its free try to serach for it at google.com and not a big file

I want to make games when I am older; better ones than that are already out. Games suck nowadays.
