I am kind of new to have hosting and a domain register so if what I ask seem stupid and simply it may be hard for me.

my website danielfairbrother.com loads perfictly without the www at the begining but if i put ww. at the start it gives me an x10hosting 404 error website.

My registrar is godaddy i have the x10 name servers in the setting.

What should i do?

There may be an error in your .htaccess file.

Check your domain is parked correctly in cpanel.
Check your domain is listed under addon domains. :)

Hope this helps. :)

Flush your DNS, clear your cache and cookies, and try again.

Hope this helps :)

That is correct, the domain you are using as main domain can not be added as parked or addon domain. It is already associated with your account.

Your domain works both with www and without it. If you still can't get it to work with www please try flushing your dns and/or clear your browser cache.

Oh sorry, I didn't realise it was added as your main domain.

I noticed that for a short while after creating my account the www. extension of my domain threw up a 404, but it sorted itself out. Probably just one of those things stuck in the works.

It may be to do with the ISP catching up with what we do to our domains :)

It happened to me on another web host-except it didnt correct, so I came to x10 and never looked back. It was so annoying to have to tell users not to insert www. at the beginning of the URL.

Hope this helps :)

Since this is sorted, I'll close the thread.
