Hi there, I'm a mostly satisfied new x10hosting user. I'm loving everything so far, I'm just having an issue with accessing files on my site.
Whenever I try to access something I get the following error:
Code:
Not Found
The requested URL /<path I'm trying to access> was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
This appears regardless of whether the file actually exists or not. I also have the same error if I use either my own parked domain, or my x10-provided one. The file permissions are correct. I suspect this may have to do with the lack of an .htaccess file but if someone could look into it, that'd be great. There are no reported errors in the logs at all.

My x10 domain is usnpw.x10host.com if that helps you track it down any quicker. Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

EDIT: After some digging, I can access files by going to http://usnpw.x10host.com/home/usnpwx10/public_html/index.html, but not http://usnpw.x10host.com/index.html. What have I messed up? :(

I doubt you've messed up anything. From the looks of it, it is set on your account for the default directory to be outside public_html/
Only a member of staff who can modify accounts can make a simple fix to this.

Thanks, it appears to be working now. You're a star! Out of curiosity, what was the issue? Had I changed a setting by accident? Just for future reference purposes in case I do it again.

Hi usn.pw,

The issue was on our side of things, as we recently switched from using Litespeed to Apache, and it seems that your domain was missing a mapping file for some reason. ;)

Thank you,
