Can someone help me with this site-wide error, please? What do I need to do to fix it?

It happened again while I was trying to register you! :( And I can't figure out how to send PMs on this crazy system... :(

No but it's a recommendation to see if it was a bad install I would temporary put your site in offline mode to try and correct the issue

Hi Rebecca,

A 503 Error suggests that either our webserver is experiencing difficulties, or the script you were trying to run failed to return a response in 30 seconds. It appears your server was having some issues a few minutes ago. Is this happening on a specific page, or on all of your pages? :)

Thank you,

All of them, but only sometimes. It seems random, but when it happens it's on every page.

Do you have any plugins or anything on your site that are contacting an outside location for anything (such as an anti-spam service, or something along these lines).

It is relatively hard to diagnose what exactly is going on with your script, since everything else is loading fine, but the form submissions take a while, leading me to believe they're trying to do some sort of outside-network lookup/information check, which is causing the issue.

Sorry for not answering sooner!
I don't know... Does Google Analytics count?

I think I figured it out! I had the emails set with SMTP instead of PHP's built-in mail() function! AHA! :) Can you help me to test it again, please? Thanks so much!

That'd be it. We block remote SMTP connections, so that would explain why it was timing out.

Are you able to register for an account?
