An 86-year-old woman has pleaded guilty after being charged with shoplifting $252 worth of products from a grocery store, resulting in her 61st arrest on August 2, 2009.
The original charge was for felony shoplifting, but was reduced to a misdemeanor after she pleaded guilty. She was sentenced to two days in jail.
Doesn't anyone think it's time to put this woman on house arrest, or make her spend more time in jail? I understand that people are being lenient because she's elderly, but being arrested 61 times is insane.
