Hi all x10 members,

Im new to this hosting service. I just sign up x10 and login to my account system, but the system panel displays "currently pending creation" I am wondering does this mean my account is not yet created? if not yet created, how long does it take for x10 to create it?

Also, about managing the co.cc domain

There are 3 sections, NameServer, ZoneRecords, URLForwarding

do I must setup all 3 sections or I just setup the one I need?
i am not familiar with NameServer and ZoneRecords, what are those?
in NameServer what should I enter the NameSever so that it will work for x10?
and why they ask you to enter more than 2 possible NameSever?

Thanks all,

mkcity

pending creation does indeed mean it is not yet created. Usually the creating is fast, matter of about 10 minutes or so, from the point where you confirmed your email.

You need to set up the name servers only as far as I know, I have personally not used co.cc domains. x10hostings name servers are: ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com

You should not need to enter more then two, but they have created the option to add more.

Thanks Anna,

The account is created now but there is one more problem I am having. I tried to login to cPanel but it says login attemp fail,

I got the welcome email from x10 in the email it does not mention cPanel username and cPanel password,

but it has account username and cPanel address
i am wondering if the username is the cPanel username? and the cPanel password is the same as the account password?

i try to use my account username and account password in cPanel login and it did not work

Could you explain what is my cPanel login information?

Thanks,

Anna

when you signed up you did get to chose your cPanel name and password. I can tell that your cPanel name is mkcity.

Have you configured your co.cc domain over at co.cc? The domain I can see is set as your main domain shows as available on co.cc when I enter it into my browser.

Hi again, thanks for your fast reply

I didn't recall the registration ask for entering cpanel username and password

as I can remember during the registration it asks me to create an account with username and password, i assume this is the x10hosting account

then i was asked to register x10 forum account

so from my understanding i have two sets of username and password from x10

one is the username and password for x10hosting (so i suppose this is use for x10 cPanel?)
one is the username and password for x10forum

I just setup the co.cc to the 2 name server you mentioned in previous reply, now co.cc says: Name server changes may take up to 48 hours to update throughout the Internet.

does not mean i need to wait until name server changes from co.cc finsh so I can use cPanel

Thx,

Hi I click the link http://stoli.x10hosting.com/ it gives paragraphs but no any form of login form, following is some text from the site

Great Success !
Apache is working on your cPanel® and WHM™ Server

If you can see this page, then the people who manage this server have installed cPanel and WebHost Manager (WHM) which use the Apache Web server software and the Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) successfully. They now have to add content to this directory and replace this placeholder page, or else point the server at their real content.

should it be like http://stoli.x10hosting.com:2082/
i use the above link which got it from my email, but login attemp failed with my x10hosting username and password

any idea? thx

Hi.

Work has been going on with server transfer upgrades over the past few days, so service may be intermittent. Because of this, sometimes it is better to just wait a while & try again later.

Read the News sections here to keep up to date. Eg: http://forums.x10hosting.com/news-announcements/98362-latest-updates.html

Your best bet is to try to login at http://stoli.x10hosting.com:2082/. Use the other username/password that you haven't tried yet - I think this is where you are going wrong. If unsuccessful, try the first username/password again. They should work.

Also, please do not ask too many endless questions (use your own initiative a bit more) whilst the upgrades are going on, because staff are extremely busy. Remember - this service is free!! :)

thx for the heads up about the server upgrade,, yea i will try the http://stoli.x10hosting.com:2082/ later

but i believe there is only one set of username/password, i couldnt find another other set of username/password from registration

No probs!

Also, I know this whole panel login thing is confusing - personally I think it needs simplifying.

I just want to make sure you also know about the Account Management Panel, the login for which is found here ; http://x10hosting.com/panel.php . I assume you do, & have been there already. But just checking!
