Hi Everyone,

I was hoping somebody could help me out in figuring out a problem I have.

My account has done this twice within 24 hours now and the error I am getting is

You have been suspended for high system resource usage. Accounts are suspended for usage when they are detected to have consistently high cpu usage, memory usage, or process amounts. This is an automatic suspension, you're able to unsuspend yourself immediately. Warning 2 of 3

The web URL is http://culturezine.exofire.net/ if you need to see the site.

I can unsuspend myself but I don't want this to happen again.

How do I prevent this from happening in the future?

Are you using Wordpress or Joomla? If so, maybe some modification plug-in or consume too many resources. Try turning off the last you have added and that has caused the excessive consumption. Greetings ;)

It could be possible although I have this plugin installed on other wordpress sites and I have had no issues with it before.

The site has had a few large bursts in traffic in the last couple of days. Do you think this could have added to the problem?

I am not dead sure... But see mostly it causes high CPU usage. Because when you edit any post or add new post it will automatically run and create a new sitemap.. also you can change its setting...

Turn off the automatic sitemap generation and do manually when done with posts..

I think that was the problem.

I went into settings and it said it has trouble contacting one of the search engines.
The building process took about 10.36 seconds to complete and used 21.3 MB of memory.

I unselected Ask and Bing and also unselected Run In Background.

Now I get

The building process took about 0.15 seconds to complete and used 24.5 MB of memory.

This might have been the problem

Without checking the log, I'd say that execution time could very well have been the cause, or at least part of it.

The suspension might have been triggered due to the your site demanding too much cpu time, especially if you had more then one run with the script or had other things that had lengthened execution times within a period of time (limit is 240 seconds per hour)

Thanks for the feedback confirming this.

I was worried my account will be terminated.

Your account would not be at immediate risk of termination just because of high resource usage suspension, unless you fail to request unsuspension in due time if suspended or refuse to make an effort to solving the issue.
