Hi

My account has been suspended for high system resource usage. Just wondering if anyone can tell me what is causing this?

my site is http://dont-panic.elementfx.com

I run Wordpress twice (one sub-domain) and OSCommerce on a second sub-domain.

Is there a script or a plugin or something I have installed?

I only ask because I am about half way through building the sites and was writing an article (about 2 hours work) when the site was suspended.

Remember to check the error logs in cpanel. They are often forgotten, and can be very good when solving these sorts of problems. If something shows up more than once, from the same file, you immediately know where to look-you can save yourself a lot of time.

Hope this helps :)

The one file that shows up the most in the logs is: cashin/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

Does any of the plugins affect the admin side? Something about that is using up to much of the memory.

Thanks LadyAnna looked through the plugins and the only one I can find that states it uses AJAX is WP-Polls so have deactivated and will see if that makes a difference.

From http://wordpress.org/support/topic/224250:

admin-ajax is the handler for all the real-time requests that the site makes when you're in the dashboard. The front dashboard page, many of the settings pages, the posts page, these all cause hits to it. Don't worry about it, it's supposed to work like that.
Looks like it's a WP built-in.

Be careful of NextGEN - it takes a lot of CPU when generating thumbnails for images after a bulk upload. Even though it takes longer, it's better to upload images one at a time when you're dealing with a CPU quota.

Thanks Mr.Dos that could also have caused the issue, been uploading a few at a time.

Wordpress uses AJAX itself, for the Dashboard.

it could be a plugin that make use of the built in ajax function, that causes the calls to be extreme.

I can only tell what the log shows me :)
