I do not understand why my account was suspended today at 8:04pm. I have a cron job running every 5 minutes. Isn't that what I am allowed to do?

I was able to successfully unsuspend my account but I need to know why it was suspended.

Please advise.

Could you copy and paste the reason that is shown for the suspension here? It can be found at the following URL:

It seems like you have already unsuspended yourself, so I can't see what you were suspended for. However, based off the context of your post, I'm assuming it was an automatic suspension for crons running too frequently. Take note that only one cron can run every five minutes (not multiple crons on intervals of five minutes).

It also may have been high resource usage, if the cron happened to be doing a lot. That's the one I'm leaning towards more, but that's just me adding another possibility out there, just in case that's what it is :)

Suspension reason was: "Reached maximum allowed cronjobs per time interval - 1 cronjob execution allowed per 5 minutes."

Do you have more then one cron job? In that case you must set them so they do not run at the same time (minimum 5 minutes apart from each other as well as per run on each individual job)

I only have one cronjob which is set to run every 5 minutes. Therefore I thought I was in compliance which is why I was surprised to see I got suspended for running a cronjob more frequently than once every 5 minutes.

My account was suspended as well for similar reasons (although reasoning was not correct). I unsuspended the account but after a few days it was suspended again giving reasons that account was not active for the last 2 weeks (incorrect reasoning again). I unsuspended the account but cron does not work any more (cron was working perfectly well before suspension).

I find it very strange as reasons given by adminstrator for suspension are not correct.

As for the inactivity suspension, keep in mind that activity in your hosting account does not count, it has to be activity on the forum. You are required to log in a minimum of once every 31 days.

If you're already doing that, you may be interested in reviewing the following page on my website to make sure you are doing everything correctly:
