Adult Content and "Hosting Services"

I know you don't allow Adult Content on X10 servers, but I went back and fourth through the ToS and I couldn't see anything about linking to content that is hosted elsewhere.

It says

"Each individual is allowed ONE account only. x10Hosting does not allow any of the following content to be stored on its servers." It doesn't say anything about linking to adult content on another server.

So does that mean as long as I don't host it on YOURservers, I can link to Adult Content that is on another host that DOES allow such content?

Just point out that I haven't posted anything yet, and it wouldn't be full on "porn" just the odd viewable nipple or bit of flesh

Even if it was linked off an external provider, it would still be treated as part of the content on the site itself, which would place it in violation of the Terms of Service. That said, we don't normally suspend for art, although that particular definition depends on the viewer, which is part of the issue inherent with adult material. To be safe I wouldn't recommend linking to it or hosting it if it's got any nudity, although I have doubts that the type of material described would be enough to actually trigger a suspension, but without seeing it I can't confirm that for sure (and I'm not particularly interested in seeing nudity anyways). As far as it goes for "stored on it's servers" as well, the reference to the material (the links/embed) mean we're still liable for it at some point if anything goes wrong and a complaint gets issued.

Technically you can serve an adult themed website from the Google Cloud's App Engine, even though several bloggers have mentioned the lack of acceptable content restrictions Google does not seem bothered. Probably because building such a site would require a mix of Python and HTML so scares most amateurs off as being way to difficult.

Something else to watch out for is the small print of affiliate programs, just because it says $1 per unique IP don't start laughing with glee and Googling a list of proxy servers. That gag only worked for about five hours over a decade ago. The way things are rigged now you typically get HALF a cent per Unique IP address and the top rate only comes when a significant percentage of the visitors you send actually pay to join the site.
