I created a sub domain for my test site, test.aniradio.co.cc, and instead of going to the website it goes to the defaultwebpage.cgi. The only thing I could think that would be causing it is a domain problem on the server, so could someone look into it, I want to test Joomla 1.6 before it comes out in 2 days.

and the sub domain was created through cPanel, it is not addon domain.

Are the files uploaded to the right folder? It looks like index.php (which is what joomla! uses for the index page) doesn't exist (it gives a 404 error, not a redirect) but index.html (the default file) exists.

It takes 24-48 hours for the system to fully integrate a new domain/subdomain. Until then, you will see the Default Web Site Page.

Note: you can also access the site via aniradio.co.cc/test/ but I am not sure if that is the best way to run the installer.

Yes there is an index.php, plus I'm not getting a 404 error.

Ussually that only applies to domains that you get through domain registrar's, not sub-domains that you create internally on the server. I've had similar problems once before with sub-domain creation.

No, it applies to any change on x10hosting's servers.

Even still, it shouldn't take this long NORMALLY for it to be set up and if the URL had no DNS record then I'd be getting a 404 error not the defaultwebpage.cgi, which tells me something isn't configured properly. This would be why I want one of the techs to look into it.

This should now be resolved.
