When trying to access my website I get :
Apache is functioning normally

Then a blank screen, how can I get into my website, retrieve the content or get access to a backup?
http://kiloranmag.x10host.com/

I can’t access the cPanel or any admin functions.
I can’t see any suspension reason as I can’t gain that information from my account.
It was created using Wordpress
It has been inaccessible for som time now.

There is a requirement to log in at least once every 30 days to keep a free hosting account active. Relying on an email as the sole reminder is not advised.

During end of first week in March, as part of our maintenance that was announced in mid December, we purged all accounts that had no login activity during the last 60 days prior, your account was well outside that 60 day mark and even more so outside of the 30 day requirement for free hosting. Prior to our purging you last logged into your account on November 26th.

Initially we said cutoff for restores would be one week, purge was started on the 4th or March, meaning in reality we should not restore anyone past Sunday 15th, though we extended it a little bit extra, but it was said that the last cutoff date would be on Sunday last (22nd).

You're lucky though that the restore is still possible for your account, they'll be cleared out any day now (and I thought that they would have been already). I'm running the restore now and the account should be good to go in a few minutes.

Thanks Anna, you’re a star.

but, I still can’t access the site.
I can’t get into the cPanel and don’t have a DirectAdmin account.
When I try to visit my domain I now seem to have been high jacked and get a lot of redirects to spam and competitions.
Any help or advise?

The IP is shared, you can't reach your site using the IP.

The first issue I have seen is your name servers (or rather the lack of the right ones). It looks like you have set the server address as your only name server, this is incorrect (name servers were not changed during migrations so should have been left as was with: ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com).

This could be a part of the problem with redirects, but I can't know for sure until that is corrected.

As for not being able to login, there is no cPanel anymore. The account was converted to an DirectAdmin account.

Did you login through the portal page (https://x10hosting.com/sso/login)? This is the recommended login and the only login that will mark your account as active to avoid suspension/termination in the future.

I found the problem with the redirect. Someone has gained access to your account and changed the URL of your worpress install (wordpress always redirects to the configured one).

I corrected this, but I'd recommend that you go through the plugins, making sure you have properly up to date ones, and making sure you only have the ones you are actively using.

Also make sure that you have a properly updated wordpress installation.

Change password for the wordpress admin, and any account with admin rights.

Should it occur again, you would need to remove all files and start with fresh files from wordpress.
