Hello,

I get that message when I try to access to "ingenieroindustrial.x10host.com" (I have it redirected by "http://ingenieroindustrial.org" and configured wordpress with url "ingenieroindustrial.org")

Access to Panel is correct.

Thank you in advance.

I did a simple ping test for the .org domain, and that return an IP that does not belong to us. Further a check does also reveal it does not use our name servers (while recommended it is not a definite must), you have three with the ending .dnsowl.com

Our name servers are ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com

Make sure that your registrar, or the service you use for dns, has the correct information for your domain, according to this checkup you have several IPs associated with the domain: https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/ingenieroindustrial.org (none of them is ours).

The correct A record IP for your server is: 198.91.81.11

I can also see the last note of update for the domain is from today, so if you recently made any changes they may not be fully propagated, which isn't something we can speed up, but clearing browsercache and flushing dnscache locally can help.

Yes, I changed today because I was not receiving forwarded emails. So I also forwarded from my provider to the "ingenieroindustrial.x10host.com", but it shows the Apache message.

With wordpress, it will always attempt to use the configured address, access on any other will be redirected (rewritten), so to get it working with the x10host.com domain you would need to update wordpress configs to use that, see: https://wordpress.org/support/article/changing-the-site-url/

Email forwarding is not an option with free hosting at this time.

For the record, on the .org domain I only get a blank page, and the .x10host.com domain forwards to the .org domain.

Right now you appear to have a redirect loop actually.

The redirect would be due to: Site (URL): http://ingenieroindustrial.org

It is a setting stored in wordpress database.

The fact the that the /blog/ and /contacto/ works is the redirect happens on the clean domain only.

Right now, with you forwarding the domain rather then setting an A record it creates a redirect loop due to that setting in wordpress.

When visiting the site using the x10host.com domain the wordpress setting causes a redirect to the .org, which then in turn is forwarded to the x10host.com and then repeats until it ends in a blank error page.

To avoid the redirect you either need to update Site (URL) to be the x10host.com domain, or set an A record (instead of forwarding) for the .org domain pointed to our servers. With an A record, email and everything is still handled by the registrar.

Thank you very much Anna,

I've made only one A record: hostname "ingenieroindustrial.org" address 198.91.81.11, deleting the others A records.
And a www CNAME address "ingenieroindustrial.org"

In this moment, it appears "Apache is functioning normally" instead of the blank page.

Wordpress config is:
Wordpress (URL): http://ingenieroindustrial.x10host.com
Site (URL): http://ingenieroindustrial.org

I don't see that you have any A records for your .org. This website does not cache, so that should be up-to-date.

https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=http://ingenieroindustrial.org&run=toolpage

Either add your .org domain to your domains or pointers in DirectAdmin. Then, go to your .org registrar and create an A record, address 198.91.81.11 (this is your server, which is x11.x10hosting.com), and the TTL is usually 86400 seconds.

A pointer will make it so that domain A is hosted from the same folder as domain B; the website will be the same. A domain will make it so domain A is in one folder, and domain B is in another folder. However, you can only have so many domains and pointers, so if you've used them all up, then you'll have to find some way to make it work.

I have the A record in my registar done since yesterday. Now, I changed the name of the domain in DirectAdmin (DirectAdmin web control panel: Account manager -> Domain Setup - > Rename domain to "ingenieroindustrial.org").

It seems that it works in Opera and Edge, but doesn`t in IE. Moreover, when I try to access to wordpress-admin (I think I should modify "Wordpress (URL)"), it forwards to "http://ingenieroindustrial.x10host.com/wp-admin/" and it appears:

Not Found
The requested URL was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

If I try to force with "ingenieroindustrial.org/wp-admin/", it redirects to "http://ingenieroindustrial.x10host.com/wp-admin/".

Yes, renaming the domain would make the site usable, but that also effectively removed the .x10host.com domain from your account, which you still have as Wordpress (URL) in the settings, having that as the wordpress URL means that it would try to use that for the wordpress admin backend as you have noticed.
With the .x10host.com domain removed, it would not be found on the server, which is logical as the domain no longer exists (other then in cache perhaps).

In Garrets reply you were suggested to add the .org domain as a pointer, which would have worked fine and solved the problem as well as leaving wordpress backend intact.

In order to change the setting without being able to login to the admin side of wordpress you have to follow one of the suggested options in: https://wordpress.org/support/article/changing-the-site-url/ (personally I'd go for updating the database using phpMyAdmin found under MySQL Management).

Ok, what I`ve done is to change the domain to "ingenieroindustrial.x10host.com" and create the pointer as alias to "ingenieroindustrial.org".
Then I could access to wp-admin, and there I've changed Wordpress(URL) and Site(Url) to "ingenieroindustrial.org".
Afterthat, I deleted the pointer and changed the domain from "ingenieroindustrial.x10host.com" to "ingenieroindustrial.org".

And I think that now IT WORKS! :). It loads in all the browsers I've tried.

Thank you so much Anna and Garret. If everything is correct, post can be marked as solved!

I'll mark it as solved, but wait with closing it a couple days. Sounds as you got it right now.
