I want to make something, where the browser gets a message from the server, displays that and then moves along.
The problem is, I don't know where to start or what to search for. I can use asp.net with visual basic, or javascript/jquery. Or both, if necessary.
tl;dr :
server says beep -> browser displays beep,
server says done -> browser moves along
