Hi guys, I'm sure there's nothing wrong with my site but I've just noticed I can't access it and there's no update on the status page so I'm not sure what's happening.

I can log into cPanel and my account and can view my files fine and have been using Avast without problems for a while now.

The site is mainly just being used for testing/practising my web design and basic coding skills at the moment so it's not actually got any content on it.

Sperko.x10host.com

When I access the site it says (Screenshot attached):
Avast webshield has blocked a harmful web-page or file.
Object: http://sperko.x10host.com
Infection: URL:Mal
Process: C:\Program Files\...\firefox.exe

The Firefox error I get is (Also included in screenshot attached):
Problem loading page the connection was reset - Try again

I have included another screenshot of the Avast page which contains pretty much the same information, can you confirm if this is a problem on my side or if it's just a general issue on x10's side?

Thanks,

For some reason I could not add the pictures/screenshots in the thread or the replies...

Hi Sperko,

It sounds like Avast could have blocked x10Hosting's servers. Unfortunately Avast appear to have blocked the entire server, and we don't have any control over Avast's decision.

Please could you file a false-positive with them? :)

Thank you,

Thank you for your fast reply I have noticed other users who have Avast have problems too, I have submitted a false positive and contacted Avast via that link so hopefully this gets resolved soon, is there any way I can unblock my website through Avast on my PC?

Thanks,

Hi Sperko,

You should be able to add an "exception" for your site's URL in Avast, which will allow you to visit your site. ;)

Thank you,

I have added it to the exception list and everything is working as it should now, thanks for your time and I will wait to see if Avast unblocks the server eventually,

Have a good day!
