Thank you for the fast reply.

I know you can run the install, but it goes wrong on the 3th step (where you have to insert your database stuff.) It won't connect to my database.

make sure you are writing correct username and password.

and the username is added to database from cpanel with all privileges.

Try using mysql-boru.x10hosting.com as the host and tell us if it works. Also, make sure you have created the database and added the user to it in cPanel.

That error message suggests to me that the correct information is NOT passed to the script from the config file.
Specifically this part 'tomcools'@'boru.x10hosting.com' (using password: NO) suggests that, first of all it has wrong user name, plus it should have said localhost and it should have used a password if the information you say are put in the php file.

That is my problem, i have done all those things. (and a few times again since you posted, just to make sure). It is still not connecting. So i was thinking that it has something to do with the update?

Tryed it with mysql-boru.x10hosting.com, no luck :(

open your config file and manually add your database information.

this may solve the problem

It's possible, I'll ask a server admin to have a look, I don't have access to all the tools.

Another possible reason could be the config file is not writable by the installscript, which means the data is not properly saved during installation. If there's a readme or other manual it should say what files you need to chmod if any.

Thank you both for the advice. I'll look into it right now and come back with you soon.
Edit:
Hello people

I tried to install php-nuke. I get this error message: "The password and username provided are incorrect."
Although looking obvious, the information in my Cpanel is correct, but it still won't work. :dunno:

Anyone else got an idea what this could be?

you could try recreating the database user in cPanel, just in case the password is messed up.

Done that, ... i just can't connect. :dunno:
If you want, i could give you my password to the cp... so you can try it out yourself.
