Hi,

I'm finally done with my website. However, i've just recently updated it to include a wordpress blog and another new page. After I upload my files from dreamweaver to the file manager, I cannot see the changes automatically when i type in my domain.

I have to click cltrl+f5 before it reloads the updated page. when i try navigating through my links, it shows a google error saying: The requested URL /blog was not found on this server.

However, when i try refreshing ONLY by using cltrl f5 then i'd get my updated page!

I tried deleting browsing history, flushing dns, clearing cache, restarting comp, but the prob still persists.

Could it be because I tried to change the DNS settings one night ago and it hasn't properly registered yet? I revert back to x10hosting.com server say more than 6 hours ago.

Regards,
Jolynn

See this... http://privilettes.x10hosting.com

there is no folder named blog in your account.

Thats why you are getting error...
Make sure the files are successfully uploaded

Often a browser creates a cache version of your site, pressing f5 just reloads it from cache in that case, while ctrl+f5 is a command to force the browser to get the data from the server which is why that is sometimes needed to see changes, especially if you only uploaded a new image as replacement or made minor layout changes.

Any changes you make to dns can take up to 48 hours to propagate, meaning reverting back can do that as well.

as for your /blog folder not being viewable, did you upload it to public_html or into one of its sub folders?

hi,
thanks for you replies.
i added an add-on domain to my host server. it's under www.privilettes.com/

the files are uploaded under privilettes.com/public_html/

there isn't any problem as i can still use ctrl+f5 to see my uploaded files.

):
Edit:
I just tried accessing my site, the same problem still persists. Anyone?
