As the title say, can I get a refund on the Inactivity Timer? Sadly I'm finding that the IT dept and other people on my side are not providing much help to solve my problems.

I found a new webhost that has Cpanel on it, both free and paid, and everything is working fine with it. I understand that the real issue is on our end, but noone want to do anything about it. I'm sorry to be mean, but I'm just fed up with the crap that I been given.

X10, it not your fault, you done what you can, but at this time, the only way of solving this is by moving webhosts.

I saw your ticket in the client area... if your purchase was recent and not 4 months ago I would consider it but that is too long ago to be requesting a refund now.

Yes, but there are still problems with X10. Yesterday, I was in Cpanel for my new web-host, and the system never logged me out. Now I don't know if something was done on our network, but the new problem that come up now that I can't even get to the log on screen of Cpanel for X10. Port 2082/2083 is blocked.

Corey: The ticket that I created in the client area was for the double all upgrade that I got. This thread was mainly at trying to get my money back for the Inactivity Timer. While I understand that it may be too late, but under Australians laws, I am entitled for my money back when a product or service did not meet my requirement or when a product or service is not usable.

In this case, I was unable to use this service because of the way that the school network is configured. While I got no control over how the network is configured, I done what I can to get the problem fixed. Then there the server move, that cause more frustrations as I wasn't getting much help at all. And in some cases, my support request would get close without a word from admin or any other stuff.

Now I don't know who laws I'm under, but I will be having a chat with someone who can tell me what my rights are. Also paypal show that I paid on 1 Dec 2009. Now my question is, what the cut off date? 30 days?

If there was a subdomain or a separate URL were all the cPanel users would login, then you could compare with that other web-host. As for the not keeping the logins, it's a security threat to leave a personnal session open, even more a website control panel session. Finally, port 2082 blocking is managed by your school or workplace, not us.

I do believe that this case would fall under American laws, since x10hosting is based in the United States. Also, passed a certain time, the company is under no obligation to issue a refund, since the service/product was used.

As for paypal, I do believe that the refund date is 30 days, and the litigation submission date is 45 days.

Yes I know that port blocking is done by the IT here at school and that has nothing to do with X10. Also I'm talking about the issue where I would get kicked out of Cpanel without warning after it been upgraded. This new host that I'm using now let me have cpanel.subdomain.nameofhost.net and it work!

How can one say if the product/service was used in full? If you look at all my thread about Cpanel logging me out, there is no way that I could be using the service in full.

So you used a service for 4 months and now are asking for a refund? There is no way that in any country that is allowed. We also do not provide refunds on any pre-paid services regardless of the circumstance.

We have over 50,000 hosting accounts and you are the only one that I've heard of with the login issue, this is not a problem with us but with your computer and\or network. You already stated this above. As I said if you had issues shortly after you purchased I would have considered providing a refund, but definitely not after 1/3 of a year.
