Sorry I missed you. We can upgrade your account once you're using at least 50% of your current disk space limit. Right now you're using 125MB out of a maximum of 512MB.
Sorry, I was checking your files, and hadn't noticed your large MySQL database. It looks like you have a very large table called "websitez_stats" that's taking up your space. Do you have any idea what this could be?
Hi, i have brought in an add-on domain called rotherhamnewsheadlines.co.uk but i am not sure if that has anything to do with it. I had the website on another hosting provider but i was fed up of the website being offline and other issues with them so i transfered to you. Im sorry i cant be a help but im not that technically minded. Where is the file and should i delete it?
I have increased your disk space so you should be able to upload files again, but I would like to still check into this large table. This is almost definitely being created by a WordPress plugin; do you have some kind of WordPress plugin installed for creating visitor statistics that could be doing this?
Thank you for increasing it. I have taken a look at the plugins on the wordpress and yes there is one called stastics. I have changed things under the tab called maintenance to purge old data daily, do you think this will help as i dont want to abuse the free hosting. If not should i delete the plugin altogether?
That should do it. The cumulative data shouldn't take up much room, but keeping the raw data around forever adds up in a bit of a hurry. (There are reasons why a webmaster might want to keep raw data around for statistical analysis down the line; the chances that you'd want to do any of that as a Free Hosting user are vanishingly small unless your web site is actually an elaborate psychology experiment.)
Ok thanks for the help and information, i just run a local news website for the area i live in and was just interested in how many people was visiting the site, thats why i have the statistics, nothing elaborate at all.
