Composer is a command-line tool, so unfortunately you won't be able to run it directly on free hosting (since the abuse levels there would be too high). Fortunately, you can still run Composer on your local computer, and then upload the resulting files to your account with FTP.

Thanks for the reply. Where do you upload the resulting files to? In your main public_html directory?
