Hi sorry to have to begin a support ticket, I have looked over the forums help and post pages but did not spot my question.
I bought a web design software app called PowerEffects i think it needs PHP4 or more to instal onto a website.
My question is do you know if the Powereffects software will load and work ok on your free hosting?
I'm not very good at website design or building etc.
If you wish to take a look at the Powereffects website to get an idea of the type of software it is here is the web URL w3w:powereffects.c*m
Thanks for any ideas or help... ;)

A car website? We could do with a link to the correct site ;)

And why not, if it's PHP it should install easily enough.

Only one way to find out - try and install it.

Hi yes my mistake i forgot to add the "DASH" between Power & effects in the wqeb site URL

Should have been w3w.power-effects.c*m

Leafypiggy you were correct good guess thanks for correct my mistake.

The reason I asked about loading this software is that Powereffects needs PHP 4 or higher on the server you want to load powereffects onto. does the X10 free hosting have PHP 4 or higher?

I did buy this powereffects software so I guess it is licensed. The first reply poster asked me this.Is that what you meant?

I'm a bit confuesed about the "Nulled Scripts" people have their accounts banned for loading onto the server.
What are Nulled Scripts?
Can anyone explain what they are to me please.
I'm very new to webhosting and signed up on X10 free hosting to use it as a type of sandbox to learn from by loading things and playing around with the hosting tools etc
Please don't mind my questions, some may be very stupid but we all began at the beginning on some subject sometime.
How can I foind out if a script I want to load onto my free hosting account is one of the Nulled Scripts? So I can avoid them.
Thanks for your replys and for helping me...

We have PHP 5.2.12. Nuled script is a script that has been pirated or cracked to be used fraudulently. One of the most widespread is Vbulletin. But you say you bought the license of your script. Therefore will have no problems in that area ;)

Easiest way to avoid nulled scripts:

1. Take a few minutes to research the script. Like, does it have a website? (also good for documentation, support, forums, etc)

2. Is it free or does it cost? If it costs and you have a free or "great price" copy, it is probably nulled. Even if a friend paid for it, the rules are usually that only he can run the script. Making copies is a no-no.

3. Download only from the website of the software. Even free scripts can be a problem (viruses, etc) if downloaded from 'iffy' third party sites. CNET and other major download sites are an exception.
