Can not access cPanel

Hi

I have registered my account this morning. Everything went smooth until I clicked the button to access my cPanel. The page starts loading but never gets loaded and my browser reports the server absolut.x10hosting.com is not responding. I have tried to load the page repeatedly but with no luck. I came back home later this evening and it appears the issue is still there.

Can anyone please advise me on what needs to be done to solve this problem?

Do you have any firewalls/routers/proxies/etc that could be blocking port 2083?
Many workplaces and schools do this.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I am not aware of anything that should be blocking my connection or ports. I do connect from home directly through my ISP (Virgin Media).

However, I will try to connect from my work today and see if I get the same result..

This has been happening not just with cPanel. My website was not found the refreshed and found! lol

So I tried to open the cPanel yesterday from my work and I had exactly the same issue - browser could not load the page.

I also tried various browsers but with no luck...

Can anyone help?

Could you please PM me your IP address? It is possible our system firewall has blocked it :)

As my case is virtually identical; I signed-up as a new user yesterday and cannot access cPanel, so please check my IP as well (although I'm sure my external IP may be dynamic for security reasons).

I had been using cPanel earlier before logging out and later trying to log back in. I had also used FTP to upload temporary files & my FTP client can't connect now either.

My site: onesteptest.x10.mx

I haven't seen how to PM, so if you don't receive one from me, send me a PM and hopefully I can respond. It has NOT been a good experience for day one!! :mad:

If the problem can't be fixed today, I need the website removed and confirmation that all files I uploaded have been deleted.

Many thanks for offering me your help.

I would love to send you my IP address in PM but I simply don't know how to do it :) I can't see any button or anything.. Could you please contact me first and I will then reply to your message.

Also, when I think about it, the fact that I'm not the only one to whom this happens plus the fact that it happened to me again when connected from my work (from different IP address) I don't think this issue is caused by my address being blocked by your firewall...

Note that there's an email address under the previous respondent's name, you just need to replace [at] with the symbol. I had a similar problem, caused by using the incorrect password too many times, and it was fixed within a few day. Their firewall locks you out without advising if you make password errors.Good luck!
