I went to my forum today to find it suspended. I tried to go into the portal to find out what happened and appeal.. and It won't access.

I keep getting a redirect pop up and then an error..

I don't even know what I did, and I didn't make a recent back up.. so if I can't access anything I will have lost 5 years.. 5 YEARS worth of information...

Please someone help this is an emergency...

The account attached to the forum user you're posting under is not suspended, nor does it have a history of being suspended. Further more it is only a few months old.

What is the account you are trying to access and what error do you get?

When I go onto the web page I get this :

Image of the suspended site

and when I go to my portal this is the error when I try to sign in:

Error page

The account I am trying to access is under this email and the site it: http://glowingtrails.elementfx.com/
Also what I mean by 5 years of data is I moved data I have had for 5 years to this server, the old place it was held has since been deleted. This is why I am upset I would lose it all.

Not sure what happened. The backend system did not show your site as being suspended.

I manually suspended your account and then manually unsuspended it, which removed the problem.

Please, before rechecking your site, clear your browser cache and history so you do not see stale info.

BTW, it is always a good idea to keep local copies (ie on your laptop/desktop, not on your hosting account) of your site, both files and databases.

Thank you very much. Do you have a how to thread to show how I would back up all my files? I am going to do this asap. :)

a. For databases, go to cPanel, then phpMyAdmin, then select the database and use Export. It downloads to your computer.

b. For files, go to cPanel, then FileManager.

If your site is not too big, go up one directory above public_html, select public_html, click on "Compress" icon at top (I usually use tar.gz option and call the output my_site_july_22.tar.gz so I know the date) and wait while it compresses the file.

Download the resulting compressed file.

Delete the backup from your site (it takes up space, so don't load up your hosting account with backups).

c. If you use Softaculous to install WordPress, etc, it often has a backup option.
