Is there a way to access the public_http Folder via FTP programs because all i can access is the Public_ftp folder and nothing else, and when i add the Public_http as the default remote folder I get Directory errors. Am I doing anything wrong? If i cant access the Public_http folder via FTP then whats the point. I want to upload a bunch of scripts but im not doing it one at a time, ill be doing it for days.

looks like you are using a add-on FTP account

if you use Filezilla - you must disable the option for multiple connections otherwise x10hosting's firewall may block you

in filezilla --> Edit (top of screen) --> Settings --> Transfers --> Concurent transfers - set all three to "1"
###

CAUTION: Your IP can be blocked by x10hosting's firewall - for too many "Failed" FTP logins in a short period

The FTP details you need for FileZilla (or other FTP client):
click on icon at top lefthand side of screen (Open the Site Manager)
click on [ New Site ] - enter a name for your site

Host: (your account's primary (main) domain) or (your server's IP address) - Port: 21

Protocl: FTP - File Transfer Protocol

Encryption: Use plain FTP

Logon Type: Normal

User: (your cPanel user name)

Password: (your cPanel password)

click on [ Connect ]

Try visiting '/public_html' if you get a whole load of folders to do with the functionality of your housing account.
You should really be at your document root by going to '/' via FTP anyway. (Actually, try this first.)

Hi,

It is possible you were connecting with a restricted FTP account. When connecting to FTP, make sure that you specify your cPanel username and password as the FTP username and password, and this will give you full access to your account's files. As a reminder, Linux is case-sensitive, so you should be accessing /public_html/ and not /Public_html/.
