I had posted a previous thread asking for which server I was on now due to the server migration, and Corey thankfully told me I was on Boru. I have typed Boru.x10hosting.com and cannot connect through Dreamweaver now.

It says "a FTP error has occurred. Your password and Login is incorrect" which that is not possible because I've logged in to open a new support thread.

I have also pinged boru.x10hosting.com and have recieved results shown here: http://i30.tinypic.com/2dklo5w.jpg

Is there more reports of problems like this happening to others other than myself?

I am now writing again the date is 11.27.2010. The last time that I wrote about this same issue was 7.28.2010 but the antidote above solved it at that time.

I have been unable to connect with the server again, I have tried to use the antidote above to solve this problem again but with no luck. The operation gets timed out and gives me reasons why that it may be non responsive. None of the reasons listed seem likely. I am still have issues with this and I would appreicate your help and suggestions. Thank you.

Hello,

Can you please try again now? There were some issues with this server. They should now be fixed though.

Thank you for reading and helping out. I tried it again and it again is getting timed out. I've tried to toggle the Secure FTP but that is not responsive either.

Hello, Are you able to connect using another FTP client such as filezilla? I just want to try eliminate the possible cause being dreamweaver itself.

Well that was my fear. It is apparently Dreamweaver. I downloaded and used FileZilla and was able to connect without any problems. Though I have now been able to do the updates that I've wanted to do, I like Dreamweaver much better and I'm much more familiar with it. Are you aware of why Dreamweaver could be doing this? If this could be fixed somehow I'm all for it because doing it with FileZilla is not how I wish to update my website, however if this the only way I'm able to update it, I'll have to use it. Any suggestions for Dreamweaver's errors? I hope you have some.

I'm thinking it may be related to a setting that dreamweaver is using for its FTP connection. Maybe some sort of simultaneous connections. If there is anything relating to use multiple connections with it, try disabling that. Also try enabling Passive FTP if it has that option.

That has solved it. I thought I was toggling that option but I wasn't reading it correctly by mistake. The option I was toggling was Secure FTP, I had forgotten about the Advanced tab and when I clicked Passive FTP it connected with no problems. Thank you again Jarryd.
