cannot delete folder/file

Hello,

I have extracted a zip file but when i am about to delete these files I cannot delete it. It seems these are not on my ownership. Please instruct me how to regain ownership to these file so I may delete it. Please advise. Thank you.

I am trying to delete the "xxx" folder.

Use cPanel's File Manager (or Filezilla etc) to change the permissions on the folder and all its files to 0777 and then you should be able to delete them.

Hello Thanks for the reply. I already did that but after hitting refresh the file is still in the directory.
The permission is ok but the ownership seems to be the issue. I am not sure on this.

Hi,

File ownership does not look to be an issue here, but I can see some unusual file permissions set. I reset them back to how they should be (755 for directories, 644 for files). Can you try deleting it now?
