I have tried to export all ways with all file types both with the save as file checkbox and without so I could copy and paste from mySQL.

Are you sure you selected a table in the list?

I appreciated people trying to help but when you select a database in ANY myPHPadmin and click on the export tab it will automatically highlight all tables within the chosen database.
I export and import database tables on a regular basis. I also export and import whole databases on a regular basis across many different Servers and Hosts.
I have even tried to export this database by selecting the tables for the vaying phpScripts within the database to break up the database as it contains over 400 tables.
Two other databases on the account export OK but they are less than 100 each.
So the question is what am I missing on this host when I regularly export and import databases with over 1000 tables on a different Server.

I've experience some slowness when saving a 20 row table (10 columns, 1 text) to a file. Nowadays, I export it as regular SQL and manually save it to a file. It saves some trouble on the server side.
