Hello,

I am new here, as of last night. The site is godalert.x10.bz - however, when I point to the address I get kicked back to the default http://godalert.x10.bz/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi

I did clear DNS caches multiple times and also tried accessing it from devices that haven't even seen the site before. All the same. I currently have 2 simple files in my public_html, the "hello world" kind - index.html and x.html. When trying to access x.html by name http://godalert.x10.bz/x.html I'm getting 404 (and not MY 404 that I tried to set up either).

Tried deleting and recreating public_html to no avail. The permissions are set to 0755 for public_html and 0644 for files.

Will be glad to hear any advice.

And also, while I am here I quick unrelated question. When (hopefully) things start working I'm going to point my top-level domain to this hosting. Wondering if the IP addresses of the servers ever change? Do I really have to change the nameservers for domain to the x10 ones, or can I just point my existing nameservers to the shared IP I get in cPanel information bar?

OK I found this on the support wiki, I'll give it 24 hours and see it the problem resolves itself.

Mine is on lotus.

I did see the similar information about "waiting period" somewhere on the site, but with a note that this problem has been resolved. So not sure how to react to it. I am within a few hours of the formal 24 hour waiting time, but I have a gut feeling that having waited for this long, another 3-4 hours won't do much. Usually DNS is updated hourly, though if configured in certain way it can indeed take full 48 hours... So keeping flushing/refreshing... Will see what happens...

Well, 24 hours have passed and still in the same boat. Opened a support ticket. Hopefully it will get resolved at once...

The site started working out of nowhere. No update on my support ticket. Just did another refresh and viola...

Maybe it does take nearly 48 hours for things to begin to function around here...

For record: it is now about 42 hours after opening the account...

Thanks for the update godalert. My site still isn't working but I'm only at 30 hours, I'll try again tomorrow evening.

http://godalert.x10.bz works fine.

Shows this:
Coming... coming... coming... it is coming... soon... I hope... fff

Note:
Default Web Page13 hours ago
Some newly created domains/accounts are showing the “Default Web Page”. This is just a temporary error, so if your domain is affected by this then please wait up to 24 hours before creating a support ticket. Please be aware that this page does not affect your access to cPanel - you should be able to access your control panel and files fine. Thank you for your patience.

Any chance at looking at http://parktren.x10.mx its been 24 hours multiple DNS flushes and I have yet to recieve a response from my support ticket or the email I send yesterday...

More DNS flushing site still not working ... been over 48 hours now, no response from my support ticket nor here.

No sure if I will continue hosting here I was going to upgrade but the lack of support or even responses just puts me off.

I'm happy to report that my site is now working but took about 4 days for me. No response to my support ticket but I'm happy to carry on using x10hosting for now.

Lucky you, I am still getting:

[h=1]404 Not Found[/h] The server can not find the requested page:
/test.php (port 80)
Please forward this error screen to www.hpaschouwenaars.x10.mx's WebMaster.

I entered a ticket, but have not got any reaction in the last 24 hours. But then again .... I am only 48 hours down the waiting road. Considered upgrading but how to get the guarantee that stuff will be working then?

Thnx, for reporting back.
