Hi,

I asked for my account to be deleted last year when all the server migration was taking place. Having kept an eye on the forums here since then though, it seems things have somewhat calmed down, so I thought I'd give it a go again & tried to do a new sign up. This wouldn't allow me to sign up as new & directed me to my old account. Within accounts panel, it told me that i had no hosting service & i should either sign up as new (you see where this is going now!?) or to post a support ticket. So, here I am, asking whether my old account can be reactivated in some way, so that i can set my old website up again.

My website address is www.pbfirepro.co.cc & it was previously set up via boru. Username for all sign ins was pbfire. The only other thing that might be an issue is that i see there dosn't seem to be the facility for using .co.cc domains, even though they are still actively promoted via your site, so is this going to be a problem? Unfortunately I'm not a 'techie', so if there is a 'workabout', it will probably be far too complicated for me to do!

I hope that's enough info, but get back to me if you need more & let me know how this might best be resolved.

Many thanks.

Hello,

I can't find a record of that domain in our system, so it must have been deleted.
You may find it easiest to sign up using a completely new username, but an admin should be able to change the account linking if you'd rather not do that.
Once you've signed up, you can add a co.cc domain as an addon domain. The option has been removed from the signup menu.

Hi,
Many thanks for your prompt response & i have tried, as suggested to do a new account using a new username. The problem is, however, that my email address is still associated with the existing old account, so using a new username does'nt seem to be the way forwards here, as the new account sign up throws me straight back at the old account.

If you have any further suggestions or ideas, i'd really appreciate it.

I'm not sure how the add on domain thing works, so my learning curve will have to extend further when the time comes. Can you tell me though whether this could affect how my database might be accessed or affected when i migrate it back over? I'm using a VTiger CRM database system & hoping i can transfer the whole lot over, complete with existing settings, etc, but if my co.cc addy becomes a sort of secondary web address I'm not sure if it might throw everything out.............. Hey, but what do I know?............. Like i said before; i'm no techie.......... yet!

Cheers.

Did you try starting the signup process while logged into account panel? By not doing that you'd have to use a separate email to get completely new account, including new forum/client account.

You'll be given the option to switch to a co.cc domain once the account has been set up, we had far too many users confused with the fact that they had to register the domain with co.cc if they opted for that during signup which is why it was removed from there.

Hi Anna,

I just tried doing that, as was logged out before. It looked promising at first but, unfortunately, having filled out the form & submitted i got the following 'error message': An invalid solution to the anti-SPAM CAPTCHA was provided.

I tried several times, but got the same each time.

Sorry, but have you got an other ideas? It looks like it should work, but so far it does'nt.

Cheers.

do you see the captcha at all? Seem it is blocked by some "ad block" plugins as it is both an ad and a captcha.

Also I know it is fairly common that people treats it as a riddle, rather then actually copying the text as instructed.

Hi Anna & Duh! What a thickie i feel now! I didnt look closely enough & assumed the Captcha was an advert. All sorted, signed in & awaiting my main domain to be updated to my co.cc one, so thank you once again.

Now the real fun starts......... copying over my CRM System & data base...... the language could get very spicy!
