Do you have a user and password in the configuration of filezilla, the error message indicates you do not? You will not be able to connect ftp without actually logging into ftp.

You can see what the user name is under "Quick FTP" in the account panel, username should be the same as for the account panel.

Hi there again @Anna! Yes I copy the credentials under https://x10hosting.com/sso/main page thus, the log above appears.

Here is a screenshot of my FileZilla > Site Manager.

You cannot use SSL FTP (SFTP) with free hosting. SFTP requires shell access to the server, and that is not enabled on free hosting. Disabling SSL and using regular FTP will work. You must also use juliusal@[your domain].x10.mx as your user name. To make your life easier, use [your domain].x10.mx as the server. This could potentially make things easier in the future if the server ends up changing.

the @Domain part is only valid for accounts CREATED in DirectAdmin, the base account, which he is using is always just the username.

He's not using sftp, that would be going to port 22 in that case. TLS should absolutely be possible, when using the server hostname. SFTP actually stands for SSH File Transfer Protocol.

I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to connect, but for some reason it would appear that the user/pass is never sent to the server.

In my filezilla log, after AUTH TLS, there's a few rows regarding login:

Response: 234 AUTH TLS OK.
Status: Initierar TLS...
Validerar certifikatet...
Status: TLS-anslutning etablerad.
Command: USER *******
Response: 331 User ******* OK. Password required
Command: PASS ************
Response: 230 OK. Current restricted directory is /

You could try to set the connection to use simple (non secure) ftp, should be the last option in the dropdown (it is for me).

Hi All,

I've tried @garrettroyce way, still no to avail.
Tried creating new ftp account, still no to avail.

Any work around?

Thanks!

EDIT: Oh my God @Anna, it works!

Encryption: Only use plain FTP (insecure)
