Can't Connect to MySQL server??

First off, I have this forum with free hosting. It uses MyBB forum software, for what it's worth, and this issue just started today. When anyone tries to go to the site, this error comes up:

2002 - Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

Doesn't this error simply mean that MySQL isn't running on the server itself? Can I do anything to fix it, or is the host just updating or fixing something?

I just tried visiting your site and was not presented with any errors, appears to have been sorted already. Can you please confirm it does work for you too?

Yes I have it now. I was just double-checking to make sure it wasn't some error on my behalf or something. Looks like it was a short-lived error. Thank you.
