can't install nothing...?

I'm trying to install Word Press or phpBB. It should go in the file _public html file? If so, I've tried several time and the board does not show up. Even tried it with Word Press too.

You need to upload all your site content inside the "public_html" folder.

Download the files from wordpress or phpbb. Upload the files to 'public_html' as the archive they were downloaded in. Then unzip them into your folder. Browse to your site through your browser, and into whatever folder you put all the files in. It should automatically bring up the install page.

Not sure, I'm at school and can't check myself because they block cpanel. But it really isn't that hard to do it yourself. Otherwise you will have to wait for a staff member to look into it.

will try it later and got the install guide from Word Press about setting up the SQL database and so on!

well nothing still...went into the file mgr and there's no public html file there.
I think the hosting account needs a fix, cuz nothings wanting to install and so on...

I took a look in your cPanel, and there surely seem to be something wrong with it as the files are placed in a folder called public_html, though you seem to be missing the one called www :/

I think that the fastest solution would be recreating the account (don't worry I'll do it manually for you, will only take a few minutes). Do you have anything there you want to keep?

www is actually just a symlink to public_html.

I know, but the account did not seem to work correctly without them both.

well now with the newly re-created hosting account stil cant install a forum board > XMB. Looks like it's all in the file > public html but when I go to the site, I get an 500 internal error
