Hey all. I am trying to install a website script/package..using a simple archive/installer.php setup. On the installer page it asks for the db name/the hostname/password/db user. I have given all the correct information and gave the user full permissions in the control panel. Every time I try to test the connection on the installer.php page it says it cant connect to the database. I have tried everything...I have seen that there are quite a few connection issues with the free hosting so could this be why I'm having trouble?

Well it connected once, but timed out during the unzip. Tried connecting afterward and can now NOT connect again. Would a paid account be free of these issues?

Ok, so someone else in the forum gets a response but I don't? I also just signed up for a premium account and got no email. I know it's late but if someone else can get a response on here could I get the something as well? The other user was responded to by a staff member 20 minutes after I made this post. The sql db is STILL down on the free server as well, and I have no details about my paid credentials to log in. Got the call, entered the code...no confirmation email or anything. i also used the same email as my free account.

Hi dunebigx,

Sorry for the delay in a response. I took a look at your WordPress installation, and it looks like that your wp-config.php file has the default database settings in. Please could you edit your wp-config.php file to use the database you setup in your cPanel and try again? :)

As for the issue in setting up a Premium account, please could you contact our dedicated x10Premium staff about that and they'll be happy to help. You can create a support ticket within your client area (if you are at that stage yet) or email sales@x10premium.com. We have the confirmation system in place purely to prevent fraud. ;)

Thank you,
