Cant install wordpress

I tried to install wodpress on my subdomain..
When I used Fantastico, it tells me that something like, getmyid is not allowed

When I manually install it, i get this:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 77824 bytes) in /....../......../public_html/wp-admin/includes/schema.php on line 246

All help appreciated...

Please login into http://x10hosting.com/account with forum user name and password and upgrade your php from the current version you have "Basic" to "Intermediate" This will solve that issue.

I upgraded my php to Intermediate but it didnt solve the problem
does it take time for the scripts to know the change
or do i need to try to reinstall a new copy

I tried installing a new copy from Fantastico..It does install but I cant login into the Admin Panel
I get this error:

It can take up to 24 hours for the php to fully upgrade, as the scripts run once a day, you should receive an email once it has finished upgrading letting you know that it has completed.
