Hi there, searched through the forums but I think this problem is unique.
Background: I was on a slow DSL speed wireless far from the AP so my connection is a bit flaky, however now I have solid connection. My account was working perfectly earlier today, the things that have changed is Firefox is 3.5 now and ... I was uploading with cPanel earlier today and in frustration with uploads timing out I tried to use Filezilla at the same time.
I remember getting some kind of a message about too many connections in filezilla and I think this may be why I'm haveing problems now, even though my account says good standing.
The problem:
cPanel rarely works I get, loading ... then data error. Firefox 3.5, doesn't play well with the Cpanel uploading - usually the upload happens automatically once file is selected. Instead nothing happens.
So I try login using IE, but my login credentials are refused. This makes me think I could be in some sort of suspension. It's strange though that Firefox lets me login and IE doesn't. I am 100% sure I've used the same login information under the same login page.
My website is www.leotreasure.com - not sure if the DNS redirect comes into play with this or not.
In Filezilla I get:
530 Login authentication failed
Error: Critical error
Error: Could not connect to server
but the same login details work in Firefox (not work in IE).
My suspicion is I should set up a FTP user account as suggested in the forums, alas although I can partially see my filemanager (I have it bookmarked) - just see file structure cannot see or upload files, my cPanel URL for all the settings (to give ftp user account access) does not load and gets stuck half way waiting for lotus.x10hosting.com.
I've tried to reset my password but still get the authentication error in Filezilla.
So two final questions.
1. Does it matter if I am logged in cPanel whilst logging in FTP?
2. Please can you make my account work again at least for FTP (I am logging in songproducer.leotreasure.x10hosting.com with correct password and port 21 -- is this right?)
Thanks for reading,
Leo
