Can't transfer files from ftp

No matter what I tried to do. I can't seem to get any files to downloaded to my desktop. I use cuteftp and worked fine before.. installed on my laptop and still same problem.

Now I can't access ftp at all.

bump. FTP connects but I still can't transfer files back and forth.

what error message are you getting, if any?

No error messages. I am using CuteFTP. It will say

ERROR [11/21/2013 9:34:55 PM] Timeout (60000 ms) occurred on receiving data from the server.
[11/21/2013 9:34:55 PM] 226-File successfully transferred
226 0.000 seconds (measured here), 69.06 Mbytes per second

With Queue Window showing the item I trying to transfer and stays on 0%. still no file to the desktop.
