Resolved Change Subdomain?

Hi there,

I'm hoping to change the subdomain that my website is hosted on, is this a possibility for me? My current site is hosted at infinitejest.x10hosting.com. I'm hoping to change it to scripts.x10hosting.com, which looks like an open domain.

Add your new domain using DirectAdmin. Do NOT use a pointer; it won't work.

I do not know 100% that you can delete the old one, but I believe you can. At least, this will get your new one working. There may be changes once x10 releases the new backend.

DirectAdmin has a function to rename the website, this essentially lets you switch domain for your site. Use with caution though as many scripts rely on the domain are configured for being a working option as they redirect to that automatically.

It is indeed possible to delete a domain from within DirectAdmin.
