Resolved Changing email address associated with account

I tried to change the email address associated with my account. I received the "Free Hosting Community Account Confirmation Required" email at the email address that I intended to transfer my account to, I clicked the link in that email, and I was directed to a page that said "Your email has been confirmed and your account is now fully active again."
However, attempting to log in with my new email address was unsuccessful, and only the old email address worked to log in. I'm guessing this means that my email address has not been updated. Please let me know what further steps I need to take to change the email address associated with my account!

I just logged into my free hosting account, and I have to ask, where did you make that change?

If you did in DirectAdmin that won't do much of a difference as right now our backend is being revamped, 15 years of custom code is being replaced with a modern system.

Our backend does not sync any variables from DirectAdmin at this point, some parts do sync from backend to DirectAdmin however.

Changing email in DirectAdmin likey will only change where certain server messages are sent.

I went to my x10hosting account, and then the "Contact Details" page and changed my email address in the text input line at the top of that page, then clicked "Save changes" at the bottom of the page.
Now, when I visit that page, it shows my new email in the "Email:" line but I still have to use my old email to log in to my account.

In the hosting panel I see no such page, there is one on here for the forums however, which would only change the email on the forums nothing else.

In the actual hosting panel I only have these options:

I should actually have caught that it is here in the forums you are changing the email by what you posted, the part I put in bold is the clue.

In an earlier post you mentioned that you all are working on a way to switch email addresses for an account—I take it that the ETA for that feature is still unknown?

yeah, if all had gone right, the new backend should already have been launched, but bugs keep popping up, last esitmate I heard was by end of month. Not sure if all features will be available at that point though.

@higherkeys I'm bumping your post for another review, but I believe your best bet is to check the forum announcements for the release of the new backend. If no admin replies about your last question, I will close this thread and you can open a new one at any time for a status check. Thank you.

Once the feature is added, where will I be able to find it?
Somewhere in the SSO page, likely under the cogwheel menu where other settings are. I have not seen the layout of the panel, but my understanding is that little will change visually in the first update.
