Changing PHP Versions

I know there been tons of changes with servers since that topic was made. so was wondering if those commands are still valid because when I try the 'free hosting' ones, my site prompts me to download some file. my index.php i guess.


I didn't realize we were using php 5.5! really surprised. So I'm trying to troubleshoot my forum at teh moment. I'm having un related issues but I'm trying to figure it out on my own first.

You may use the PHP Version selector in cPanel to select between PHP 5.4 and PHP 5.5

Oh ok thank you. I wasn't aware of that feature. looks like it was set to 5.4 by default cpanel said something else so was wondering. thanks again
