Connection Timeout: server taking too long to respond error

Thanks in advance for your help and responses.

I am on the X05 server. Domain is: rodmanjd.x10host.com

Previous to yesterday, after logon from "https://x10hosting.com/sso/login" and upon clicking on the "Open cPanel" button, was receiving "Unable to connect: can't establish a connection to the server at "x05.x10hosting.com:2222".

Now today am receiving, "The connection has timed out. The server at x05.x10hosting.com is taking too long to respond".

Also have also seen post's that people are locked out for exceeding #of failed logon attempts? During the migration, many of us are trying to access our account to see if indeed we have had our account migrated. Start by logging in from "https://x10hosting.com/sso/login" screen and then at next screen "https://x10hosting.com/sso/main", click on the "Open cPanel" radio button and then are getting the failure to connect error msg. Does this count as a FAILED log on attempt? Or is the successful logon from the url "https://x10hosting.com/sso/login" considered a successful logged in.

Also have seen a lot of posts that seem to indicate, that once migrated, your account is on a different server id#. Is this indeed the case, that we will be on a different server?

I also have exactly the same problem, I log in and reach this interface without problems:

But as soon as the cpanel button is pressed I now get this interface:

xo5 is not yet migrated in its full, but the login page was reconfigured for the new port to allow those already migrated to properly get logged in. Reality is that even if it did point you to the correct port for the old server you would still not be able to login as cPanel is currently unlicensed on the old ones.

Yes, there will be a new server ID when you are migrated.

Thank you Anna for the reply. Knowing that its "free hosting", I for one, have noticed you (and mostly you) take the time to respond to people's posts on this big change. Just knowing the migration status of one's server helps tremendously. You know then that the errors encountered are valid and not just something else broken. Thank you again.

No problem. I try my best to keep you guys informed as I get the information (which sometimes is a bit sporadic). I am one of those that volunteer my time outside of my regular work, and I have some level of access to servers for the minor issues.

Quick question. At the SSO screen, I have always used just my "user id" instead of my full email address to sign in. That's ok, isn't it? Or would it cause any issue with any of the migration technical entities?

And are we causing any migration issues, by attempting to login all the time. I personally only try a couple times a day if that?

Curious, are the "paid" premium client's also being migrated fro cPanel to DirectAdmin?

The paid clients are not migrated, the revenue from that covers the extra cost.

The issue that you can cause by trying to login is that you get blocked by the actual server from failed logins, going to the sso page should not cause issues it is when you click open cpanel you risk block.

There should to my knowledge not be a problem using the ID rather then the email address, and it would not affect the migrations. The sso login is a separate server from the actual hosting.
