Constant 500 Internal Server error even after changing php permissions

Hi,

my site: http://natekettles.co.za/blog/ is getting the 500 Internal Server error all the time for past week..

I have changed php permission settings. I have refreshed page. Tried different computer. Hopeless. Can an admin please help or correct my ftp permissions/files?

Check the .htaccess file in both public_html and public_html/blog

If there is any line starting with RewriteRule in it, make sure you have a line that says

RewriteBase /

above them.

It now cycles between the error stated above, as well as showing "Error establishing a database connection"
