Cossacks Transfer

Cossacks will be the second server to be transferred. We will start the process in 2 hours.

For those of you wondering, the new server IP is '216.245.203.58'. This is to be used if you have custom DNS only.

A lot, and it's easy, just time consuming, it's all automatic.

No, if you are using our nameservers you are fine.

Also, just wondering if this might be the cause of why I all of a sudden can't get into my site, through FTP or anything?

It was working a little while ago, but just stopped about 5 minutes ago, lol.

My x10 sites are also down this AM, be it by http to port 80, http to 2082 for cpanel, ftp, or sftp. That's davearonson.com, davearonson.net, and dare2xl.com. These are all add-ons under davearonson.x10hosting.com, which is also unavailable. I was playing with the first one's DNS a lot yesterday, but that shouldn't have affected the others.

Trying to go straight to the IP address (216.245.203.58) reveals that that (i.e., the entire server) is similarly unresponsive (connect but not response). http connects but gets stuck at "Waiting for $DOMAIN" in the status line. Eventually it gets a "Connection Interrupted" error. ftp and sftp connect but don't say anything; I haven't let them sit long enough to get errors.

However... *pinging*, whether by IP or any of my domains, or davearonson.x10hosting.com, DOES get a response.

Now, why is "cossacks" apparently running fine? Because it's still pointing to the old IP address, at least according to whatever DNS servers my ISP pulls from.

This isin't the place for support, it is possible that the dns records on you isp's server havent updated yet or that your account isin't transferred to the new server. Also the server is fine but the transfer is causing it to go slow so depending on where you are in the world, it may just be timing out

Thanks, but I had already made a support request post. (I've found a workaround for the worst problem, and the others seem to have gone away.) The one here was basically a "supplemental" to the prior one, giving the results of my investigation into the status of the move.
