Could translations of our websites into other languages be acceptable?

I had my site translated into Turkish, and after reading the rules more carefully, discovered that that could be what got my earlier sites suspended.

Is there anyway to get some sort of permission to put up a link to my translated website (into Turkish, which is not one of the allowed languages) so that my friends in Turkey can understand my website?

Many thanks,
Dest.

You can have the option that allows them to see a translated version of your site as long as the primary version is in one of the three supported languages.

I'd like to ask something related to this.

I'm thinking about converting my site from blog & such to a review site. Gonna make a list of stuffs I read/watch/play/etc. give a rate for each and write a short review on it.

Main language used will be English, of course, but then I also read/watch things that are in my language (Thai), so it would make more sense if the review content will be in Thai. I wonder if that will be allowed? Since most of the things will still be in English...

Corey,

The site I have that uses the free hosting is in Portuguese, since my main audience is from Brazil. Is that an issue? Please let me know so I can make arrangements to have an English version of it.

Thanks.

@its.viva19: Safest is to always have everything you post available in English, although most would probably let a couple articles in an otherwise English site pass without suspension, as long as those articles can be considered to be only a minor part of the content.

@rfuly: In order to abide by TOS, the site must be available in English, Spanish or French. We'd prefer the supported language to be primary although if there's an easily accessible translation that'll work as well. Note though that the translation should not be automated by a service such as, but not limited to, google translate.

Thanks for replying, Anna. I'll have to rethink about reviewing things in other language then, since if it's a review, (IMO) everything on such article should be in the language that medium is in because of the target audience...

In the meantime, gonna start writing about the things in English.

Happy New Year

vv.bbcc19,

It is just an presentation website. I used Dreamweaver to create it. There is not a lot to translate, I will be able to do it myself.

Thanks,
R.

Here's a small suggestion:
When a user changes the language they want to view the site in, have it set a cookie, so it remembers that and shows the site in the preferred language of that user :)
