cPanel down? - "running out of disk space"

I get this error when I try to connect to cPanel:
Sorry for the inconvenience!
The filesystem mounted at / on this server is running out of disk space. cPanel operations have been temporarily suspended to prevent something bad from happening. Please ask your system admin to remove any files not in use on that partition.
Does this mean I exceeded my disk space or that the server has?

edit: it's all down now. FTP, front end, the whole shebang

An error like that usually means that one partition on the actual physical disk is running out of space, it would not have anything to do with your account specifically.
In this case I'm not sure what caused it, someone apparently got to sorting it before I saw any about there being an issue, but given the partition the error message points to, it was something related to the system that caused it.
