My cPanel is timing out on me. I am able to log into the https://x10hosting.com/portal/ page but choosing the "Access cPanel" button leads me to a page that says "Google Chrome could not load the webpage because level.x10hosting.com took too long to respond. The website may be down, or you may be experiencing issues with your Internet connection."

I see no issues in the status reports page so I'm wondering if it is just me.

I am able to navigate to the cPanel fine.
Are you behind a firewall/proxy/etc that could be blocking Port 2083?
Many schools and workplaces do this.

Thanks :)

I see no blocking rules in Windows8 Firewall and I shut Windows Firewall down as well as closed AVG security shield to make sure neither of those were interfering. I am not using a proxy and I cannot think of any other programs that might be getting in the way. I also confirmed this on Internet Explorer (besides my normal Chrome browser).

Can you access your website fine?

Thank you. It appears that IP address had been blocked in the firewall for 5 failed cPanel login attempts in 5 minutes.

I have unblocked it now, Are you having trouble remembering your cPanel password?

I haven't run into any cPanel login issues or failed attempts, no. Certainly not to that extent. Is it possible that access to the database or my email account is the cause? I have been experimenting with the Wordpress database and with setting up forwarding in my email account, both of which likely had numerous failed attempts.

I have access to my website and the cPanel link opens fine now. I would still like to know what caused it to get blocked though before closing the thread though.

Your IP address was blocked, so other people would have been able to connect and view your website fine, except you.
Do you share your IP address with anyone else? If so, would it be possible they were trying to login to Level's cPanel for some reason?

Neither MySQL databases or standard email account usage requires a login to your cPanel.

I am the only one that uses my IP address. Unless there's some cow in Hollenbach's field down the road with a laptop who's stealing my wifi!

No worries then. I just don't recall having any issues logging into cPanel. Thanks for all the help with getting this resolved!
